Freight Forwarder Co. Down Bangor Salary Open for Discussion Join a large and expanding shipping company based in Northern Ireland that offers sea, air & road freight globally. Due to business development and increased work load we are recruiting a freight forwarder to help with the following tasks: Process high-volume and complex import/export transactions, including booking, billing, classifications, system data entry, and securing required government releases. Prepare and review customs documentation to ensure compliance and timely, cost-effective clearance. Deliver proactive customer service, coordinate with departments and third parties, and maintain detailed process profiles. Handle bills of lading, AWBs, and other transport documents, providing shipment instructions to the team. Ensure hazardous materials shipments comply with all applicable regulations. Prepare and update customer quotes in the system. Support invoicing, filing, data entry, and reporting. The ideal candidate for this role will have the following: Experience or exposure to freight and customs desirable Understanding of Logistics and customs clearance desirable Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Team player with a willing and flexible approach to work Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Good MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) Skills: Computer Literate Problem Solving Attention to Detail
