Purpose of the role:
To prepare and serve beverages to guests in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring Company standards, legal requirements and guest satisfaction.
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
* Keep strict control of the keys and ensure they are returned in accordance with policy and procedures
* To pick up beverage requisitions from storeroom and check for quantity and description if correct
* To be responsible for the cleanliness of the Bar area and all materials and equipment pertinent to the operation
* To be able to set up the Bar and prepare and serve coffee
* To be responsible for the utilisation of measures when serving and mixing drinks
* To be aware all regulations regarding hygiene, licence hours, minimum age, measures act, etc.
* To prepare and serve drinks to guests
* To be responsible for bar to be covered at all given times
* To follow all closing and night audit procedures including cashing up
* To be aware of the hotel's Health & Safety COSHH and Fire Evacuation procedures and ensure Bar staff are aware of their responsibilities.
* To represent the Bar at hotel meetings and in all matters relating to its future development.
* To undertake other duties as may be required by the Bar & Lounge Manager and the management team.
