We are delighted to be working with a mission-led startup looking to hire their first dedicated salesperson. They are tackling an immensely important issue, helping all employees get the reproductive health cover and support they deserve, and are looking to make the key hire of their first BDM to lead their B2B sales efforts.
You will report directly to the CEO of this VC-backed business, who has been leading all commercial efforts up to this point. You will be selling into the benefits teams of corporate clients, so our ideal candidate has strong knowledge of the employee benefits / flexible benefits or corporate health insurance space. You will be creative, energetic, hungry and can execute a great sales process, knowing how to sell innovation and drive deals forward. You’re always seeking new sales opportunities, are equally comfortable engaging your network and cold-prospecting, and have a proven ability to close net-new accounts.
They have a small, extremely high-calibre team of employees based remotely in the UK.
As their first BDM you will:
* Open, manage and develop new client relationships in the employee benefits, flexible benefits and corporate health insurance space. Win new business with HR personas.
* Exceed pipeline and revenue targets, landing new logos through your network, partner activity and outbound prospecting while supporting marketing events and campaigns.
* Live and breathe the powerful company mission, becoming a key advocate for the business externally. Highlight the value proposition to raise curiosity and interest, organising demos and meetings with clients.
* Adopt a solution-oriented approach to sales, focusing on delivering value to customers.
* Have a comprehensive understanding of the industry and the products or services you're offering, on the road to becoming a thought leader in the space.
We want to hear from you if:
* You have 3+ years’ experience in a closing role within B2B sales, operating as an account executive or business development manager within the employee benefits, health or wellness space for at least 2 years.
* Ideally you will have experience of working in a startup environment, but if not, you’ll be desperate to test yourself working highly-autonomously in a lean, early-stage startup team.
* You have experience encouraging HR leaders to think differently about a problem or challenge.
* You’re a proactive, independent thinker with a positive attitude and not afraid to take risks.
What do they offer?
* £160k OTE uncapped (£80k base + 80k On-Target-Commission)
* Compelling equity offer, with this being such a key early hire
* 25 days annual leave + public holidays
* Cycle to work scheme
* Pension contribution
