Family Support Worker
Working as a Family Support Worker is an exciting, interesting, and rewarding role. Your aim will be to deliver targeted support to vulnerable children and their families to achieve better outcomes, reducing the need for higher-level support and long-term demand for services. You will undertake assessments and coordinate and deliver interventions using a solution-focused approach. By building supportive and empowering relationships with families, you will engage parents through creative and innovative strategies, in line with partner agencies and organizations.
You will benefit from our commitment to delivering the best possible service to children and families, and the chance to join an experienced and dynamic team. We are recruiting 4 passionate Family Support Workers to help implement the DfE's 2025 Families First Partnership Programme.
We are looking for individuals with experience working with children, young people, families, and communities. Experience with multi-agency assessments and plans is essential. A full driving license and access to a car are required, and the role may involve working some evenings and weekends.
Our aim is to be an employer of choice, attracting and retaining excellent people to serve Gloucestershire's diverse communities. We promise an inclusive and supportive working environment that enables you to bring your whole self to work and realize your full potential. Under the Immigration Act 2016, it is a legal requirement that anyone in a 'customer-facing role' must demonstrate fluency in spoken English.
Hybrid working arrangements are available, providing flexibility to balance service needs and individual preferences, with a mix of remote and office work.
