Our client is seeking an experienced Security Architect to support enterprise-wide cybersecurity and digital transformation initiatives within a complex operational and technology environment.
This role sits at the heart of modernising security decision‑making, enabling agile and scalable cybersecurity practices across global programmes and platforms. You’ll work closely with engineering, DevOps, project teams, and security stakeholders to define secure architectures, manage cyber risk, and support secure delivery at scale.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide security architecture guidance across projects and programmes
* Define and own security scope and architecture for enterprise technology initiatives
* Drive security requirements, patterns, standards, and implementation approaches
* Engage with development and DevOps teams to provide security consultation and support
* Ensure solutions comply with security requirements and risk management frameworks
* Identify, assess, and manage cyber risks, vulnerabilities, and residual risks
* Conduct first‑line cyber risk assessments across systems and data environments
* Support supplier and third‑party security assurance activities
* Review vendor contracts to ensure appropriate security clauses and controls are included
* Coordinate security design and review activities across internal security functions
* Develop mitigation strategies and security controls to improve security posture
* Maintain security documentation, reporting, and compliance evidence
* Stay current with emerging cyber threats, risks, and security best practices
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience working as a Security Architect or within a similar cybersecurity architecture role
* Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture, cyber risk management, and security governance
* Experience working with development, DevOps, and project delivery teams within Agile environments
* Knowledge of secure solution design, risk assessments, and security control implementation
* Experience supporting supplier assurance and third‑party security reviews
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to operate within fast‑paced enterprise environments and manage competing priorities
* Comfortable collaborating across global teams and time zones
* Experience within operational technology (OT), utilities, energy, or critical infrastructure environments
* Exposure to cloud security, DevSecOps, and modern security engineering practices
* Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks within enterprise environments
* Relevant security certifications beneficial
