Contract type Permanent (Part time) Closing date 31 March 2026 Job Description Heart of Midlothian Football Club is a Premiership Scottish Professional Football Club based in Edinburgh with Elite Academy Status. The Club are looking to recruit an Academy Coach to initially work within the Girl’s Foundation Academy.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious coach who has previous experience within a football environment and is passionate about training and developing talented young players. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Foundation Lead and Head of Girl’s Academy to ensure a positive environment for young players to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
•Support the Foundation Lead in delivering sessions.
•Provide informal and formal feedback to player, their parents/guardians.
•Lead coaching sessions and game coverage for the Foundation programme.
•Keep accurate records of session attendance and player assessments using the Academy Online systems, including introductory consent and medical engagement forms.
•Ensure all assigned kit for the Foundation Academy is properly maintained.
•Attend Academy meetings and CPD events to ensure effective departmental communication, planning and evaluation.
•Create a positive environment for player development.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
•SFA 1.3 Coaching Certificate.
•Previous experience of working in a football environment.
•Previous experience in a Girls performance environment (desirable).
•Can reliably commute to Edinburgh and other locations as per the needs of the position.
•Able to evidence the Legal right to work in the UK.
•Valid UK driving licence.
•Able to commit to working 2 mid-week evening training sessions per week, and one weekend matchday depending upon the Academy schedule.
