Join Our Children's Services Team as a Paediatric Nurse

Are you an experienced Band 5 or Band 6 Nurse looking to develop your career? We are seeking a dedicated Paediatric Nurse to enhance their professional leadership and clinical skills within our Children's Services at Colchester Hospital, recently approved as a High Dependency Unit Level 2.
At East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, we deliver high-quality, compassionate care, striving to provide a positive patient experience in a safe environment.
Our 20-bedded Children's Ward includes 2 HDU Level 1 Beds and 1 Level 2 bed, caring for patients requiring high dependency interventions such as CPAP, BiPAP, and Long Term Ventilation.

Role Responsibilities
1. Manage and develop the nursing team within the Children’s Ward, providing professional and clinical leadership to ensure high-quality, safe, and cost-effective care.
2. Collaborate with nurses and other MDT members on a one-to-one or group basis to enhance clinical skills and practice across areas caring for children.
3. Deputize for the ward/unit manager to ensure appropriate senior cover at all times.
