This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and growing business where you’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of finance tasks.Your new role As a Finance Assistant, you’ll play a key part in the day-to-day running of the finance department. You’ll be involved in everything from order processing and invoice checks to bank reconciliations and customer queries. Key Responsibilities
1. Process and review customer invoices and ensure accurate coding
2. Check and code supplier invoices, ensuring correct approvals are in place
3. Record payments and receipts accurately in the system
4. Handle bank reconciliations and support with fixed asset tracking
5. Process employee expenses and ensurepliance withpany policies
6. Deal with customer queries related to accounts, payments, and invoices
7. Support with debt management and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding balances
8. Assist with month-end tasks including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
9. Prepare and check ledger balance and contribute to monthly reporting
10. Support the team with ad hoc management reports and analysis
11. Work closely with the wider finance team to support continuous improvement
What you'll need to succeed
12. Previous experience in a finance or accounts support role OR a great attitude and a genuine interest in starting a career in finance
13. Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
14. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach
15. Excellentmunication skills and the ability to work well with others
16. Knowledge of Xero is desirable.
17. A good cultural fit – someone who’s eager to learn, adaptable, and a team player
