A leading manufacturer in specialist transmissions for the automotive sector are currently recruiting for an Indirect Buyer on a full-time, permanent basis in Thatcham.
Role - Indirect Buyer
Type - Permanent
Location - Thatcham
Salary - £50,000 - £55,000 + benefits
Key responsibilities for the Indirect Buyer will include and will not be limited to:
Collaborate with business and functional leads to provide purchasing support across all indirect spend categories (goods and services).
Source, negotiate, and purchase goods and services in line with procurement policies to maximise spend effectiveness.
Develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
Create reporting tools to track progress on indirect spend initiatives and become the company's subject matter expert in this area.
Support and coach stakeholders on procurement efficiency, assist the Procurement Director with major projects, and drive process improvements.
Key skills and experience required for Buyer / Materials Buyer job applicant and will not be limited to:
Experience in managing indirect spend across multiple categories (e.g. Facilities, IT, Operations) with strong analytical and reporting skills.
Excellent stakeholder relationship management and customer service focus, supporting agreements and contracts with suppliers.
Proactive, "can-do" attitude with a focus on achieving best value for money and implementing effective sourcing solutions.
MCIPS Level 4 or working towards (desirable)
