One of the UK's leading Food businesses has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join their growing team.
This role will support all aspects of the purchasing process from identifying new suppliers and understanding market movements, through to managing order placement and ensuring best value for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Source products that meet customer specifications, delivering the best balance of price, lead-time, and quality.
Negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure competitive prices, payment terms, and deals.
Ensure full compliance by working within the company's ethical sourcing policies.
Raise purchase orders and manage associated administration through the order processing system.
Support customer tenders, ensuring Sales & Marketing have up-to-date pricing and data.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Management or equivalent preferred.
Experience in Buying/Purchasing, ideally within the food industry.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills with a commercial mindset.
Excellent time management, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of international shipping, duties, and delivery processes would be beneficial
