About The Role
Location: Hexham Transfer Station (French Garden Industrial Estate, Hexham, Northumberland NE46 4DL)
1. Salary £12.71 per hour
2. Working 47.5 hours per week
3. Monday to Thursday from 07.30 to 17.30 (4 x 10 hour shifts), Friday 07.30 to 15.00 (1 x 7.5 hour shift), with 30 minutes paid break for lunch
4. Full PPE provided
What will I be doing?
5. To undertake first aider duties and fire warden duties on site.
6. Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role
7. Operating the weighbridge and following waste acceptance procedures to ensure correct and safe import and export of materials.
8. Operating the loading shovel to stockpile material and load wagons for the export of material
9. Maintaining accurate records for the import and export of material and of all activities on the site.
10. Daily Stock takes and daily input of load details for stand alone HWRC’s
11. Maintenance of site equipment and tools
12. Undertaking first aider duties and fire warden duties on site
13. Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role
What are the requirements?
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to obtain a full working understanding of the site licence / permit and who will work to ensure site operations exceed the standards required.
14. A flexible approach to work will be advantageous, as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
15. The successful applicant will be required to undertake personal development to obtain skills for waste acceptance, operation and maintenance of site equipment.
16. Having basic administration skills for the recording of data on SUEZ R & R UK’s reporting systems will also be advantageous.
