Application Support Specialist - Cheshire (Hybrid) - Up to £40k + Benefits + Free Lunch
Are you a tech-savvy professional who thrives on solving complex application issues and enhancing digital services? We are seeking an Application Support Specialist to provide third-line support for a range of business-critical applications, ensuring the resilience and performance of vital systems within a fast-paced organization.
You will be at the core of the technology team, responding to escalated issues, collaborating with development and service teams, and engaging with third-party providers to ensure seamless operations. This role also offers the opportunity to work with international colleagues on shared platforms and infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing
* Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for business-critical application support.
* Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud-hosted platforms (primarily Azure) and integrations with tools like Databricks and Datalake.
* Manage third-line escalations, document incidents, and ensure timely resolution in line with SLAs.
* Support mobile device management and security compliance via Intune and MDM tools.
* Collaborate with service desk and project teams to drive continuous improvement.
* Maintain and enhance system documentation, error logs, and training materials.
* Serve as the UK liaison for group-wide application initiatives.
* Implement changes to applications and databases in a controlled, auditable manner.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 / CRM systems.
* Basic SQL skills and the ability to create and troubleshoot queries.
* Proven experience in application and device troubleshooting.
* Ability to work independently and escalate issues when necessary.
* Familiarity with Agile practices and working with external support partners.
* Background in 2nd/3rd line support environments.
* Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, PowerAutomate, etc.).
Desirable Skills
* Industry experience in hospitality or retail sectors.
* Familiarity with MDM systems, SCCM, or API integrations.
* Knowledge of project management and ITIL best practices.
* Experience with automation tools like BluePrism or UIPath.
