Dean Close Foundation are looking to appoint a Health Care Assistant to support in the administration of our Medical Centre. This is a term time role, working 34 weeks per year and we are offering a salary of up to £14,280 per annum. Line managed by our Health Centre Manager; you will support our Health Centre staff to look after pupils aged 2-18. Whilst a medical background is not essential, an awareness of the health requirements of young people and experience in providing health care support would be advantageous. Other roles and responsibilities include: To manage the ‘Health’ email inbox and diary, ensuring that all relevant parties are informed of its contents as necessary To manage the dissemination of care plans and other such documents and ensure that only the most up-to-date copies are in circulation To coordinate vaccine clinics for pupils and staff, including sending and collating consent forms, timetabling, and liaising with NHS nurses To book GP and hospital appointments for pupils To take ownership of the Health Centre pupil communication board and the communication diary To manage general admin functions such as Health Centre post and office supplies Early applications are encouraged, and applicants may be invited to interview prior to the closing date.
