Women’s Wear Designer - Footasylum
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Womenswear Designer to join our in-house “Own Brand” Design team at Footasylum’s Head Office in Rochdale. Our company manages multiple brands across men’s, women’s, kids’, and accessories.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in high street fashion, supported by a relevant portfolio.
This role offers a great opportunity to work on Footasylum’s “own brands” such as Forena, Dripmade, and more, with excellent progression prospects.

Responsibilities
1. Research and contribute to the creation of seasonal collections in collaboration with the Brand Manager / Buyer, including customer profiling, trend research, and competitor analysis, focusing on brand awareness and regional customer engagement.
2. Assist in developing a design strategy for each brand and season, including trend overviews and collection creation. Demonstrate advanced understanding of technical CAD design specifications, adhering to deadlines.
3. Collaborate with Buyers, Brand Managers, and Product Developers during fit sessions.
4. Ensure compliance with Children’s safety standards and provide feedback to the team.
5. Work with factories in Turkey, China, and Pakistan, building strong relationships and assisting with branded development and production trips (may include weekends).
6. Travel domestically and internationally for development trips to UK stores and overseas (may include evenings and weekends).
7. Maintain planners and POs to ensure timely order processing and up-to-date development and production overviews.
8. Participate in weekly trade meetings and relay feedback to the team.
9. Support Junior Designers in delivering clear technical CAD specifications and review tech packs before submission.
10. Manage time effectively, stay self-motivated, and adapt to changing priorities.
