Senior Technical Operations Analyst - Job Description

Primary Responsibilities
ActiveBatch Job Management
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize scheduled jobs across UK and US trustee systems.
* Lead incident response for job failures, including Snapshot Block Auto‑Kill and SEI Loader processes.
* Collaborate with engineering and support teams to implement fixes and performance improvements.
SQL Development & Optimization
* Analyze stored procedures and recommend indexing strategies to improve execution time.
* Convert legacy queries to stored procedures and align with broader tech strategy for CDO Suite.
* Maintain and enhance job logic for snapshot generation, reconciliation, and data archiving.
Incident & SLA Oversight
* Serve as primary on‑call contact for critical job failures and SLA breaches.
* Coordinate with offshore teams and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and communication.
* Document and escalate recurring issues for backlog prioritization and root cause analysis.
Process Improvement & Governance
* Participate in Tiger Team and Stability Team scrums to review incidents and propose solutions.
* Contribute to governance meetings and roadmap planning for system upgrades and releases.
* Maintain knowledge base articles and ensure support documentation is up to date.
Collaboration & Communication
* Interface with cross‑functional teams including product managers, offshore support, and database administrators.
* Provide technical guidance on job configuration, data retention policies, and system transitions (e.g., SEI to GP tables).
* Lead discussions on job prioritization, escalation protocols, and performance thresholds.

Additional Responsibilities (Software Development)
Responsibilities: Responsible for development of web application systems for Online Banking and Money Movement. Maintain development activities that support internet banking development, ensuring high quality work. Understanding current .NET technological trends. Demonstrable detailed understanding of design principles and methods, technology and standards. Interact with business users and Business Analysts to understand the requirements and create design documents. Work with project Managers and development leads to complete assigned tasks and with expected quality and on time. Experience working with geographically distributed teams and vendor resources. Skills: Knowledge of authoring tools and human interface. Must be experienced with performance aspects of application development. Knowledge of DBMSs, development methodology, standards, design tools and specification representation. MCP +internet or other certifications like Win 95/98/NT/Unix, Java Script, VB Script, PERL, XML, HTML, SQL Server, Oracle, Progress, MS Front Page, Cold Fusion, Visual Interdev, ActiveX and Java Applets, ISAPI/NSAPI or MS IIS. Knowledge of web design principles and standards, firewall and network security and Internet database connectivity.
