The Role
As an Electrical Fitter, you’ll be responsible for the installation, wiring, and testing of electrical systems on bespoke aircraft refuelling vehicles and related equipment.
This is a hands-on position working on a variety of complex electrical assemblies. Full training is provided, giving you the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge within the aviation refuelling sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out electrical wiring, assembly, and installation on refuelling vehicles and equipment
* Work from electrical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate builds
* Fit and connect control panels, lighting, sensors, and electrical harnesses
* Perform electrical testing and fault finding during and after installation
* Collaborate with mechanical fitters and design engineers to meet project specifications
* Ensure all work complies with company quality standards and Health & Safety procedures
Requirements
* Proven experience in electrical fitting, wiring, or panel assembly (preferably within vehicle, machinery, or equipment manufacturing)
* Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and technical drawings
* Competent in fault finding and electrical testing
* Basic understanding of Health & Safety practices
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills
* Experience working on special-purpose vehicles or HGVs
* Knowledge of pneumatic or hydraulic control systems
* Background in aviation or ground support equipment (advantageous but not essential)
