The Substance Misuse Recovery Service provides community based, holistic and recovery-focused treatment services to people who are experiencing harms related to the use of drugs and alcohol across Shetland. This is a challenging opportunity for a Registered General or Mental Health Nurse with relevant management experience to lead, develop and deliver the Service with the aim of achieving a human rights based approach to a range of health, psychological, social and economic improvements for clients. This will include managing the delivery of evidence-based interventions, both clinical and psychological, as well as working collaboratively with local authority and third sector colleagues.
Your will need to be able to demonstrate experience in the management and delivery of evidence-based care to people experiencing substance use problems including the management of controlled drugs and experience of working in hospital and community based primary care environments. As well as experience in people management and development, systems and process management, you will need up to date working knowledge of current local and national policy and practice in relation to service user care and statutory obligations.
