Job Description:
My clients are a well-established UK leading manufacturing company based in Tameside, with offices in UK, Ireland, Canada, and Australia. An exciting opportunity has become available for a Cut Length Supervisor to support the general manager and Finished Goods management team with day-to-day tasks to ensure smooth department operations. This role involves working alongside departmental heads to maintain continuous improvement and ensure timely completion of daily orders.
Working hours are from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on Fridays.
Salary up to £27,000.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
* Supervise and motivate the Cut Length areas to ensure daily orders are completed on time and quality standards are met.
* Coordinate staff movements to maintain efficiency and keep records.
* Ensure adherence to Health and Safety procedures, report hazards or incidents, and attend regular Safety meetings as the representative for the Cut Lengths areas.
* Oversee training of new starters, monitor progress and skills of all staff.
* Accept deliveries and ensure proper storage.
* Liaise with other departments.
* Coordinate regular cycle counting and manage stock using the ERP system.
* Develop a comprehensive understanding of processes within all Finished Goods areas and provide backup support as needed.
* Organize and support machinery maintenance requirements.
* Report on fabric quality control.
* Promote good housekeeping practices.
* Require experience supervising in a production or warehouse environment.
* Knowledge of performance KPIs.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Strong team player with good leadership and communication skills.
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
* Experience with electric pedestrian trucks and basic mechanical skills.
