We’re supporting a well-established manufacturing business in Wakefield to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone with a strong foundation in finance and payroll, looking to broaden their responsibilities in a supportive and fast-paced environment. The role includes: Managing the sales ledger: raising invoices, allocating payments, issuing statements, and resolving queries Chasing outstanding debts in line with agreed terms Processing payroll monthly and preparing related reports and pension uploadsSupporting wider finance tasks including: Posting cashbook entries and journals Bank reconciliations in multiple currencies Purchase ledger close-off and GRNI journals Monthly stock reporting and contribution to management accounts Post journals for the monthly Management AccountsWhat we’re looking for: Previous experience in both payroll AAT qualified (or currently studying) Confident using Excel and accounting software (Sage payroll desirable)This is a great opportunity to join a stable business with a strong team culture and gain broad finance exposure.
