The role:
As a Production Lead, you will help drive our goals by:
1. Promote a proactive Health & Safety culture, ensuring compliance with JM policies, safe systems of work, and zero-harm focus, while maintaining ISO, quality, and environmental standards.
2. Deliver production schedules efficiently by maximising resource use, ensuring team competence, monitoring KPIs, and driving improvement across people, efficiency, engineering, and technology.
3. Lead and develop a team (approx. 6 staff) through effective performance management, training, permit control, and adherence to Life Saving Policies and Management of Change.
4. Drive LEAN implementation, lead Root Cause and Quality projects, support CAPEX improvements, and coordinate 5S and problem-solving activities to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
5. Proven leadership experience in complex environments, with strong understanding of operator skills, performance metrics, and implementation of LEAN methodologies including root cause analysis.
6. Educated to degree level (technical/scientific/business) or NVQ Level 4+, with postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in a chemistry/technology/scientific discipline.
7. Strong technical competence in Microsoft Office, quality systems (ISO9001/14001/15001), CoSHH, chemical and environmental awareness, hazardous signage, and Health & Safety risk assessment.
8. Proven leadership and decision-making skills
