Currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join their dynamic team, the Estimator will play a critical role in assessing project requirements, analysing costs, and preparing accurate and competitive bids for fire protection system installations and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction principles, excellent analytical abilities, and exceptional communication skills.
* Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine project scope and requirements.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation.
* Conduct thorough material and labor cost analysis to prepare comprehensive project estimates.
* Utilize estimating software and tools to generate accurate cost projections and prepare detailed bid proposals.
* Participate in bid review meetings and negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
* Monitor project budgets and provide ongoing support to project teams to ensure cost control and profitability.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory requirements to ensure competitive and compliant bids.
REQUIREMENTS
* Proven experience as an estimator in the fire protection industry or related construction field.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately assess project costs and risks.
* Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills to interact with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
My client is open to experience levels for the right candidate and this is reflected in the salary which will be from £35,000 – £65,000. The opportunity to work from home.
