Unfortunately we are not able to offer sponsorship to work in the UK, and we do ask that you have 6 months of UK based work experience (in any sector) before applying (please note, this does not apply to school/college leavers)

The Beeches in Mirfield is a welcoming, well-established 13-bed residential service for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities and complex needs. The phrase "We work in their home, they don't live where we work" underpins everything we do at The Beeches and means our staff team work in a person-centred way by encouraging independence and choice every day.

Being a Support Worker at Beeches is a varied, exciting, and rewarding role. All of our services are unique, being tailored to suit the needs of adults and young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and physical disabilities, and our teams work hard to ensure that the standards of care and support are consistent and of high quality. No two days are the same at Beeches, but the role will include supporting with activities, personal care, eating and drinking, supporting and helping with health care needs, including routine checks, attending appointments and social engagements, clinical support in administrating medication and Gastronomy care. Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests. Our new digital systems provide staff with more time to engage with the adults and young people, ensuring we capture all the great work we do.

Day to day role of a Support Worker:

Your days at Hollybank will be as varied as the people we support, however your typical day to day role will include:

* Supporting with meals and drinks, and to help them to get excited about being involved in cooking and baking!
* Helping with their personal care, including bathing and showering, so they look and feel great.
* Engaging in meaningful activities both at home and out in the community - such as the cinema or bowling.
* Building a relationship with the adults and their families, so that you can provide truly person-centred, individualised care.

Experience is welcome, but not essential, as all training will be given. You do not need to be a driver to apply for this role.

Our staff benefits:

* A competitive salary and great pension scheme.
* An employee rewards scheme with retail discounts, cashback offers and much more.
* A comprehensive employee assistance program, including support for your mental health, subsidised wellbeing activities, and a life insurance style benefit.
* A fantastic, open, and supportive working environment.
* Training & Development opportunities, tailored to support your career aspirations.
* A wealth of opportunities to gain experience in a variety of skills.
* Free on site parking and great transport links for public transport users.

What we look for from our staff:

* Confidence - Trying new things, suggesting new ideas, and challenging poor practice if you see it.
* Curiosity - Not being afraid to ask questions, being a team player, being driven to learn and develop.
* Happiness - Being a reliable and positive person, being outgoing and vibrant, and enjoying the work you do.
* Kindness - Focusing on ability, not disability. Supporting your colleagues, and being inclusive and caring.
