Senior Consultant / Project Manager
Lewis Davey has a Senior level Project Manager opportunity that offers the chance to lead key corporate clients, mainly in manufacturing, retail, and financial services. We seek sustainability professionals skilled in reporting and capable of leading consultancy services focused on climate-related disclosures and the organizational change aspects of net zero strategies. Ideal candidates will engage with diverse stakeholders daily and play a pivotal role in managing clients’ sustainability risks and opportunities. Familiarity with business development, service development, and marketing activities is also desirable.
The role
1. Leading and assisting clients with climate disclosures (CDP, CSRD, TCFD/ISSB).
2. Helping clients navigate and prepare for emerging regulatory requirements, such as Climate Transition Plans and EU Directive alignment (CSRD, CSDDD).
3. Providing strategic advice and analytical services around broader climate-related needs such as GHG accounting, science-based target setting, decarbonisation plans, communications, and other ESG ambitions.
4. Collaborating with technical teams to deliver holistic net zero support, considering governance and organizational change aspects of Climate Transition Plans.
What you’ll contribute
1. Maintaining strong relationships with existing corporate clients and developing new ones to expand business, including cross-selling services.
2. Managing consultancy projects to ensure timely, quality delivery within budget, and acting as an agent of change to help clients remain market leaders in ESG.
3. Providing technical/regulatory input by tracking evolving climate disclosure requirements such as CDP, TCFD/ISSB, CSRD, and Climate Transition Plans.
4. Participating in strategic service development to keep offerings competitive in response to sector and policy changes.
5. Identifying sales opportunities, developing proposals to meet client needs, and achieving sales targets.
6. Handling operational needs including invoicing, project management, and safety protocols.
7. Contributing to sustainability targets and internal CSR objectives when required.
Education/Qualifications
Essential: Degree in geography, economics, sciences, environmental, engineering, or related field demonstrating analytical skills.
Desirable: Postgraduate qualifications such as a Masters, membership of IEMA, or project management certification (e.g., APMP).
What you’ll need to succeed
Essential:
* Experience in managing projects, teams, and delivering to deadlines, especially in net zero strategies and climate disclosures.
* Effective engagement with senior stakeholders.
* Leadership and facilitation skills for workshops.
Desirable:
* Experience managing bids and proposals.
* Policy analysis and strategic risk advising.
* Experience with voluntary reporting submissions and external presentations.

* Proficiency in IT, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
