We provide laboratory analysis to the agriculture, food and environmental sectors, as well as contract research to GLP standards to support the development of agrochemicals, biocides and other chemicals.
Cawood currently have several exciting opportunities for Laboratory Technicians to join our team on a full time temporary contract until May 2026
Key Responsibilities include the following:
* To prepare and analyse samples within agree timeframes which ensure they are reported on time to our customers, while ensuring all HSE, quality and turnaround time requirements are meet.
* To communicate any discrepancies/queries in a professional manner.
* Sorting of samples and ensuring they correspond with the relevant paperwork
* Correctly reporting all samples into LIMS.
* Preparing chemical standards and reagents in line with our Standard Operating Procedures.
* Working as a team and maintaining morale and actively offering help and assistance wherever possible.
* Use of the following instrumentation, after successful training, ICP-OES, Discreet analyzers TOC analyzers, continuous flow analyzers analytical balances, ovens.
The successful candidates should:
* Have enthusiasm, energy and be team focused.
* Must be able to work effectively and collaboratively within own team and other sections.
* Must take initiative and have the ability to conduct hands-on work.
* Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks with high attention to detail.
* Highly organised and excellent time management skills.
* Previous laboratory experience or a science background is desired.

Pay: From £25,255.00 per year
