We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Head Receptionist at Fern Cottage Veterinary Surgery.
Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 30 hours per week, over 4 days
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday with a 1:4 share in the Saturday rota

About the role:
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Managing the Receptionist team, including training and providing support and guidance
* Creating and managing the team rota
* Supporting with Recruitment and liaising with the internal recruitment team
Additional Day-to-day duties of the role will include:
* Answering phones and booking appointments
* Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
* Registering new clients
* Completing insurance forms
* Dispensing medications
* Taking payments
* And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice
What we're looking for in our Veterinary Head Receptionist:
* Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
* Leadership skills would be highly desirable
* Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
* An excellent communicator with strong empathy
* Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
* A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
