Main Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor the site-based HSE team to improve performance and foster a strong HSE culture within the company by:
* Developing project/site HSE plans aligned with business objectives in collaboration with Operational Management and the Regional HSE Manager
* Identifying development and competence needs of HSE Advisors and ensuring these are addressed by Site Management and the HSE function
* Managing stakeholder relationships regarding HSE matters
* Sharing knowledge and experience with HSE Advisors
* Leading team members and ensuring effective audits of customer sites, with timely follow-up on actions
* Engaging with Client HSE personnel to develop relationships
* Participating actively on-site through audits, inspections, and interactions with personnel and Advisors
* Working with Operational Management to enable ownership and delivery of HSE standards
* Advising and guiding HSE Advisors on incident investigations, leading to satisfactory resolution
* Supporting the Regional HSE Manager by:
o Providing support and achieving company targets
o Promoting the HSE Management System and identifying improvement areas
o Supporting the 'Safety Works' behavioural safety programme
o Reporting non-compliance or legislative concerns
o Driving improvements in products, services, and HSE performance
Routine Duties
* Supporting Operations in hazard identification and risk assessment, implementing control measures
* Ensuring adherence to the CMS system
* Recording and investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, with root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Disseminating HSE information and updates
* Providing guidance on HSE systems and initiatives
* Conducting onsite HSE audits
* Monitoring compliance with HSE performance indicators
* Promoting continuous improvement of HSE culture
* Delivering onsite HSE training as required
* Developing HSE initiatives and supporting on-site personnel and management on HSE matters
Experience & Qualifications
* Auditing and inspection skills
* Incident management and investigation expertise
* Knowledge of HSE legislation and CDM Regulations
* Management system standards
* Experience in the industrial services or petrochemical industry
* Improvement planning capabilities
* NVQ 5 / NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
* NEBOSH General Certificate
* Grad IOSH status
