GSL Education is working closely with a fantastic SEN school in Lincoln to recruit a dedicated Autism Student Support Worker to join their team from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is driven by making a genuine difference to the lives of young learners.
The Role:
As an Autism Student Support Worker, you will:
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Use strategies such as PECs, visual timetables, and sensory activities to aid communication and engagement
Promote independence, self-regulation, and emotional wellbeing
Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver personalised support plans
Create a calm, structured, and predictable learning environment
Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience supporting individuals with Autism is highly desirable
A patient, calm, and consistent approach
Understanding of ASC and associated communication or sensory needs
A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
