Set on the outskirts of Ambleside in the breathtaking Lake District, this luxury 4-star boutique hotel offers exceptional guest accommodation and a modern British restaurant. With just 23 individually styled rooms, including 10 spacious suites, the property combines award-winning dining with warm, attentive service to create a genuine “home-from-home” experience.
The restaurant holds 3 AA Rosettes and a Michelin Plate, with a menu that celebrates fresh, Cumbrian-inspired cuisine crafted from the finest seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
We are currently seeking a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie to join the talented kitchen brigade.
What We’re Looking For
Hard-working, adaptable and passionate about delivering high-quality food
Experience in a rosette-level kitchen desirable, but not essential
Ability to work confidently across all sections of the kitchen
Positive attitude, strong communication skills and a collaborative team spirit
Commitment to maintaining the high standards expected in a multi-award-winning kitchen
Salary: £32,000 – £34,000 per year (depending on experience)
Overtime pay: Hours worked beyond 50 per week paid in addition to salary
Holidays: 28 days paid holiday per year
Meals: Two per day when on duty
Pension: NEST Pension Scheme with generous employer contributions
Accommodation: Available on-site or at a staff house in Ambleside town centre — all staff have their own room, with access to cooking and laundry facilities, free Wi-Fi, and either en-suite or shared bathrooms (shared with no more than 2–3 others)
Discounts: Reduced food and drink, plus employee discounts across the hotel
Parking: On-site parking provided
Hours: 5 days out of 7, approx. 50 hours per week.
