Pharmacy Technician
Boots UK is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Prescot. As a Pharmacy Technician with checking capability you will play a key role in delivering outstanding patient‑centred service to the communities we serve.

Main Responsibilities
* Provide expert, tailored advice to patients about available medicines, products or Macmillan Cancer Support.
* Deliver various services dependent on store needs.
* Build great relationships with pharmacy team; coach and inspire them to deliver the highest standard of care.
* Assist with triage of patients and distribute prescription handouts.
* Take ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision‑making in the pharmacy.
* Manage operational tasks including replenishing stock, workload management, order fulfilment, receiving and handling controlled drugs whilst ensuring patient safety.
* Complete Boots 6‑week Accuracy Checking Programme if not already qualified.
What You’ll Need
* Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC and willing to complete our 6‑week training course to become qualified to check prescriptions.
* A passion for coaching and leading a dispensary team.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Motivation to improve services for our teams, customers and patients.
* Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.
It would be great if you also have
* Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician with checking capability – however training will be provided.
