The Small Medium Business (SMB) teams are responsible for Deliveroo's relationships with thousands of independent restaurant and retail partners operating on the Deliveroo marketplace across several European markets. The SMB team manages the full lifecycle of partner interactions, from initial acquisition and onboarding to reactive support and proactive account management.
The Role
As a Part-Time UKI Sales Team Leader, you will lead and manage a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) focused on generating new restaurant sign-ups to join the Deliveroo platform. Your main responsibilities include driving performance improvements across key KPIs, ensuring SDRs monitor their pipelines effectively, and maximizing sales. You will also ensure the team provides a positive and seamless onboarding experience for partners, contributing to ongoing growth and success of SMB partners on our platform.
The role emphasizes improving productivity, effectiveness, sales acumen, conversion rates, and commercial value. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets and ensuring SDRs deliver excellent onboarding experiences and maximize customer lifetime value. This role is vital for continued growth and enabling more SMB partners to benefit from our platform.
In 2025, the focus will be on growth and improvement, especially coaching. You will oversee outbound call campaigns to achieve business growth, meet your KPIs, and maintain team cohesion between full-time and part-time staff.
The part-time SDRs work evening shifts (4pm - 8pm, Monday to Friday) to optimize lead contact rates. The role is based in Manchester city center, with a hybrid working model requiring three days in the office each week, reporting to the SMB Head of Sales.
What you'll do
* Manage outbound SDRs to lead quality partner acquisition, generate sales opportunities, and utilize Salesforce for pipeline tracking.
* Execute contact strategies to meet performance metrics, including sales results and qualitative partner experience.
* Produce sales reports and analyze performance to inform action plans.
* Regularly listen to SDR calls to evaluate communication, product knowledge, sales process adherence, and objection handling, identifying areas for improvement.
* Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to provide feedback and develop personalized improvement plans.
* Deliver group training on sales techniques, product features, and objection handling to enhance team performance.
* Support and motivate SDRs to maintain high morale and achieve targets, especially outside of core hours.
* Monitor individual and team sales metrics to track progress and evaluate coaching effectiveness.

* At least 2 years of experience in a Sales Leadership role

* Experience with Salesforce for customer management
* Experience with High Velocity Sales tools
* Ability to switch between coaching and leadership roles while maintaining stakeholder boundaries
