An exceptional secondary school in Oxfordshire is looking for a dedicated and experienced SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to join their leadership team in September 2025. Your Role as SENCO:

๐Ÿ”น Lead SEND Provision โ€“ Oversee the provision for students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive tailored support.
๐Ÿ”น Develop Individual Support Plans โ€“ Work closely with staff and external agencies to create and implement effective EHCPs.
๐Ÿ”น Advise and Train Staff โ€“ Support and guide teachers on strategies to accommodate students with SEND in their classrooms.
๐Ÿ”น Collaborate with Parents and Carers โ€“ Build strong relationships with families to support student learning and progress.
๐Ÿ”น Monitor and Assess Progress โ€“ Track the development of students with SEND and adjust interventions accordingly.


Who Weโ€™re Looking For:

โœ… SENCO Qualification (or working towards one) โ€“ National Award for SEN Coordination preferred.
โœ… Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEND provision.
โœ… Passionate About Inclusion โ€“ A commitment to ensuring all students receive the support they need to thrive.
โœ… Strong Leadership Skills โ€“ Experience in leading a team and implementing strategic SEND initiatives.
โœ… Excellent Communication โ€“ The ability to liaise effectively with students, staff, parents, and external professionals.
โœ… Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to apply).
