Position summary
We seek a visionary Technical Director to lead scientific innovation at our UK site in Sandwich (remote possible), reporting to the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) in the US. The role involves shaping research, development, and manufacturing strategies within our global organization.
What you’ll do
* Provide scientific leadership and mentorship across international project teams.
* Review and approve technical proposals, ensuring clarity and impact.
* Ensure effective project communication, alignment on costs, timelines, and data.
* Collaborate with commercial teams in Europe, China, and the US.
* Support growth of R&D and manufacturing capabilities in small molecules, peptides, and other modalities.

Qualifications, skills and experience
* PhD in chemistry with industry experience, or a Bachelor’s/Master’s with significant chemical development expertise.
* Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience leading collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams across time zones.
* Proactive planning, organizational skills, and multitasking ability.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and teams independently.
* Knowledge of cGMP, ICH guidelines, and clinical development phases is desirable.
* Experience with process validation tools is desirable.
