Our client, one of the UKs leading providers of automation solutions are seeking a Sales Engineer/Business Development Manager to join their team.
Over the last 25 years they have built up a loyal customer base and as the product offering has grown, we need to ensure development continues. So, you will combine sound technical knowledge with exceptional sales skills.
However, if you are currently working in an internal commercial or technical sales role and have a strong desire to prove yourself at field sales level, we would provide the support and training to enable you to do so.
Experience of selling engineering products to design engineers, project engineers and supply chain personnel would be a distinct advantage.
Requirements of the position
1. Establishing new and maintaining existing relationships with customers
2. Deal with people in an engineering environment.
3. Able to generate new business and new customers on a weekly basis.
4. Searching for new clients who could benefit from your products in a designated region.
5. Managing and interpreting customer requirements
6. Persuading clients that a product or service will best satisfy their needs.
7. Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions
8. Offering after-sales support
9. Preparing sales forecasts and reports for head office.
10. Meeting regular sales targets
11. Recording and maintaining client contact data
12. Liaising with other members of the sales team
13. Solving client problems

What to expect:
Salary £30, to £45, DOE
