Join Our Team as a Machine Setter! Location: Staveley, Westmorland and Furness. Are you detail-oriented and skilled in machinery? We have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Setter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Temp to Perm.
What You'll Do
* Set up and calibrate machines for production orders.
* Perform adjustments and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime.
* Inspect machinery to ensure it's in top working order.
* Monitor performance and make necessary adjustments for optimal efficiency.
* Lead a small team, collaborating closely with production and maintenance staff.
* Maintain detailed records of settings, maintenance, and repairs.
* Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality control standards.
Hours
Week 1: Mon–Thu 5:30 am – 1:30 pm, Fri 5:30 am – 11:00 am; Week 2: Mon–Thu 1:30 pm – 9:30 pm, Fri 11:00 am – 4:30 pm.
Pay Rate
Starting at £13, progressing to £14.50 per hour.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Machine Setter or Operator in manufacturing.
* Solid understanding of machine operations and safety procedures.
* Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
* Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.
* Good physical stamina and capacity to lift and move equipment.
* Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Education
Technical or vocational training in machinery or mechanical engineering preferred.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 10 to 12 kgs regularly.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, noisy environment.
