Role Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team in Nottingham. This entry-level/graduate role offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience managing business data in a dynamic, fast-paced school travel company. You will support key commercial initiatives by maintaining datasets and building reports, working towards the implementation of a data warehouse. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in data analysis, commercial growth, or the travel industry.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain the integrity of the business' data landscape through regular data audits and cleansing.
2. Support all business functions by delivering insights and recommendations for informed decision-making.
3. Produce and enhance reports to improve their effectiveness.
4. Apply statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and other analytical tools to explore datasets and identify patterns.
5. Collaborate with the Commercial and Business Development Manager and other departments to understand and support business needs.
6. Document analysis processes and identify opportunities for data workflow optimization.
7. Develop and maintain dashboards for better decision-making.
Skills & Experience
1. Proficiency in SQL and Power BI languages (DAX & Power Query).
2. Strong analytical and data management skills.
3. Passion for data and problem-solving.
4. Attention to detail and a methodical approach.
5. Eagerness to learn new tools and techniques.
6. Effective communication skills and team collaboration.
7. Understanding of statistical concepts and analysis software.
8. Experience with large datasets and report optimization.
9. Up to 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in travel, tourism, or education sectors.
10. Ability to communicate complex insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
11. Proactive attitude with a passion for learning.
12. Excellent written and spoken English.
13. Team player, adaptable, and collaborative.
