Project Engineer

Role Overview
The Project Engineer acts as the primary point of contact between the business and its customers regarding the technical and commercial delivery of Gas Generator Repair & Overhaul projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects through the full overhaul cycle, ensuring customer requirements, contractual milestones, and financial objectives are achieved while maintaining high technical and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
Technical & Operational
* Manage engines and rotating equipment through the overhaul and repair cycle.
* Translate customer contracts and orders into technical work instructions.
* Interpret inspection findings, investigation reports, and test results.
* Compile and issue technical and financial reports in line with contractual and internal requirements.
* Provide technical support to customers when required.
* Maintain fleet and customer operational statistics.
Planning & Coordination
* Provide regular project status reports to customers and management.
* Support financial and material forecasting activities.
* Coordinate schedules internally and with customer representatives.
* Ensure contractual milestones and delivery targets are achieved.
Commercial Responsibilities
* Support the agreement of work scopes and final quotation values with customers.
* Prepare and submit quotations, tender responses, and commercial proposals.
* Ensure invoices are submitted and processed in a timely manner.
* Monitor project financial performance and support revenue targets.
* Manage and support delivery of high-value contracts.
General Responsibilities
* Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
* Ensure administration and reporting duties are completed accurately and on time.
* Collaborate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, and customers.
* Promote safe working practices and compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, operational performance, and environmental practices.
Skills & Experience
Qualifications
* Engineering qualification or apprenticeship required.
Experience
* Strong technical understanding of rotating equipment and/or aero-derivative gas turbines.
* Experience working within engineering, maintenance, overhaul, or repair environments would be advantageous.
