AmeriCorps Community Mediation Service Corps (CMSC) Member
Hours: Full Time (35 hours/week)
Location: Rochester
Benefits: Living stipend of $25,000, other benefits for those who qualify (see attached)
Start Date: October 20, 2025
General Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, and in conformance with the Personnel Policies and Procedures established by the Center for Dispute Settlement Board of Directors, the AmeriCorps CMSC full-time Capacity Building member supports intake and case management for mediation services, responds to inquiries, assists with data entry, and supports training and community outreach. They also help prepare training materials and manage logistics for events. They participate in professional development and service initiatives, making a lasting impact on their own skills and the lives of those they serve. Training will be provided in mediation leading to certification, conflict coaching, and restorative practices.
Essential Functions
* Assist in the preparation of training materials
* Assist with training logistics and set up
* Support intake and case management
* Support training and community engagement/outreach
* Support agency programming as needed
* Attend agency meetings and events
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED, some college or AAS is desirable
* Age 17 or older
* Ability to work with diverse populations
* Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Self-motivated and ability to work independently
* Computer skills including email, MS Word, and MS Excel.
