Job Summary

We’re looking for an exceptional Reward Specialist Partner to help us make a difference to our planet.

As our Reward Specialist Partner, the job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home.This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work.

Our opportunity is full time, 37 hours per week, but we would also consider applicants wishing to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and we will also try our best to consider those intending to work a jobshare. Your world of expertise

The Reward Specialist Partner supports the Senior Reward Partner and other people professionals to deliver a range of reward activities to the business. You will deliver a range of critical governance tasks and use your modelling skills to undertake benchmarking, analysis and reward reviews. You will deliver key reward projects by designing and leading delivery of new reward and benefit programmes, using processes based on expertise and market knowledge. You will work very closely with the Reward and Partnering team, the pay team and with other external partners and stakeholders as required.

* Undertake pay data modelling to support the Senior Reward Partner and identify areas to improve our offer or service which do not conflict with CS pay remit guidance
* As a Reward expert by nature analyse and report on pay data to identify trends and make data driven recommendations as well as preparing government data returns
* Lead on relevant ad hoc projects such as scoping and developing new benefits approaches and work with the pay team to ensure smooth implementation
* Develop strong working relationships with various stakeholders – including the pay team, trades union, senior leaders and other government partners
* Continually reviewing the strategic reward landscape to identify risks and opportunities and look for opportunities to improve our total reward package.
* Work collaboratively as part of the People and Culture team and profession to share your expertise with others and develop yourself.

Person specification

Essential Criteria, Skills And Experience

* You are an expert by nature with a demonstrable range of analytical skills including undertaking spreadsheet modelling and working with multiple data sources to make recommendations, ideally in a reward or civil service pay context.
* You have experience of reviewing and analysing wider market practices or trends and understanding relevant benchmarking comparisons
* You have experience of using problem solving skills to scope, develop, deliver and communicate relevant projects or pieces of significant analysis
* Experience of working better together with a variety of stakeholders such as peers, senior managers and trades union representatives to manage expectations and deliver effective outcomes
* You are always looking to evolve yourself and your work and can demonstrate this experience of developing new reward approaches to meet business needs.

As our Reward Specialist Partner, your total reward package will be up to £58,419 annually, which includes:

* £41,725 base pay
* An outstanding Civil Service pension, with an average employer contribution of 28.97%
* Annual Leave starting at 27.5 days (plus Bank Holidays) rising to 32.5 days (plus Bank Holidays) after 5 years and option to buy or sell up to 5 days per year of annual leave
