Job Title: CNC Miller setter operator

Salary: £16.80- £23.15 dependant on shift
Hours of work:
Days- (Monday - Thursday) 7am - 4pm (Friday) 7:30am - 12:30pm
Nights- (Monday - Thursday) 7pm – 4am (Friday) 2.30pm-7.30pm

Are you an experienced CNC Miller setter operator looking to join one of the largest independent global manufacturers in the UK. Specialising in a wide range of aerospace production capabilities. Located in Basildon, Essex, dedicated to precision manufacturing, treatments, NDT, and repairs of metallic aerospace parts and finished components. We are seeking a skilled professional to set up, operate, and optimize CNC milling machines, ensuring high-quality, close-tolerance components are produced to exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities for the CNC Miller setter operator:
* Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including tooling changes and process adjustments, in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
* Able to work on 3 and 5 axis machines
· Experience working with aerospace parts Working to ISO 50001/14001/45001/9001 standards
* Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges)
* Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation for quality assurance and production tracking.
* Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements for the CNC Miller setter operator:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC milling
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent attention to detail.
* Experience in using a wide range of measuring and inspection tools.
* Background in working to tight tolerances and quality control processes.
* Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Recognized engineering apprenticeship, NVQ, or equivalent qualification is beneficial.
