Role Responsibilities

Plan and deliver lessons across KS3 and KS4 with a focus on CAD/CAM, resistant materials, and electronics.

Guide students through the design process—research, prototyping, testing, and evaluation.
*
Manage workshop safety, equipment, and collaborative studio spaces.
*
Lead extracurricular projects, design clubs, and competitions (like local STEM challenges).
*
Contribute to department-wide curriculum planning, assessment, and exemplar projects.
Candidate Profile
*
DT or Engineering degree with Qualified Teacher Status.
*
Experience teaching practical DT—materials, tools, and software.
*
Creative approach to problem-solving and student engagement.
*
Ability to differentiate and support a wide range of learners.
