Senior Accountant

We’re recruiting on behalf of a dynamic and growing accountancy practice based in Plymouth, looking to welcome a confident Senior Accountant to their team. Role Responsibilities
* Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
* Producing corporation tax and personal tax computations and returns
* Providing oversight, support, and mentoring to junior team members
* Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a trusted point of contact
* Ensuring timely delivery of work with clear, client-focused communication
* Assisting with bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts where needed
* Identifying opportunities to support clients through advisory and planning services
* Reviewing the work of trainees and contributing to quality control processes

Candidate Requirements
* ACA / ACCA qualified, or a finalist with strong practical experience in practice
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a UK accountancy firm
* Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and client needs
* Proactive mindset with a passion for helping clients succeed
