Our client requires a highly qualified Chartered Accountant to join their team as a Client Manager. Your role will be providing the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients with the support of an exceptional team of subject matter experts. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives on building lasting client relationships, delivering high standards of technical expertise, and contributing to the growth and reputation of the practice.
This is a flexible role and will require you to attend the office for client meetings. The business supports flexible working arrangements, including remote working options and family-friendly hours.
Main Responsibilities
* Client Portfolio Management: Oversee and maintain a portfolio of clients
* Accounting and Financial Reporting: Prepare and review annual statutory accounts for clients
* Taxation Services: Oversee and deliver comprehensive tax compliance and advisory services
* Client Advisory: Advise clients on key financial matters such as business structuring, tax planning, capital allowances, succession planning, and remuneration strategies.
* Systems and Technology: Utilise cloud accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) a
* Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous quality control over client deliverables and documentation.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Chartered Accountant Qualification: Must hold a recognised UK chartered qualification (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or ICAS).
* Demonstrable Practice Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience working within a UK accountancy practice, with significant client-facing experience.
* Portfolio Management: Proven track record of managing a sizeable and varied client portfolio, ideally within a small or mid-sized firm environment.
