Role summary:
This role is responsible for the management and performance of the M&E Department within CPG at a national level. As the National Manager you will be accountable for achieving/exceeding the sales targets for the team under your management. In order to achieve this, you will work with your direct reports, the Senior Sales Management Team to formulate sales strategies tailored to each customer group.
* Develop and execute a M&E strategy utilizing all resources including marketing, analytics, legal and cross business relationships to build a robust sales pipeline.
* Drive above-market growth in a highly matrixed environment to achieve the company’s business plan.
* Leading the team to complete tasks and meet goals.
* Assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.
* Setting goals and tracking progress toward them.
* Hiring and training employees.
* Creating and implementing business strategies, to deliver growth targets.
* Delegating responsibilities and supervising business operations.
* Ensure customer engagement is affected in accordance with Mitsubishi values.
* Prepare commercial bids and contracts liaising with General Counsel for legal reviews.
* Report performance and risks to the senior management team.
* Support marketing events.
Skills/Responsibilities:
* New business, Identify and secure targeted regional and national M&E customers.
* Develop a robust and deliverable pipeline of qualified projects, with a timeline of three to twenty-four months.
* Customer retention and increase the revenue from our existing portfolio of M&E customers by offering our full range of products.
* Development of the team by conducting skills and training assessments for all team members resulting in PDPs, empowering developing and retaining our colleagues to achieve business success.
* Ensure appropriate customers engagement, by mapping of those customers to ensure we influence at all levels within those businesses.
* Promoting all elements of business and product ranges by offering solutions from MEUK’s whole portfolio
Experience:
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
* Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
* Track record and experience in relevant industrial sector.
* Ability to communicate with the team, our customers, suppliers, and anyone else pertinent to the company's business.
* Proven ability to positively engage with customers to develop maintain and promote market credibility and work winning opportunities.
* Great negotiating and influencing skills to achieve top results for the company.
* Experience of tender valuation and preparation.
