Your impact
We are looking for a HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Advisor to join us for an eight (8) month fixed term secondment from September 2025.
The main purpose for the role is to ensure that existing training material needed for the HSE management system is fit for purpose and to identify and create new training courses to be rolled out across the Leonardo UK Electronics Division (including Cyber) (LEUK) in compliance with legislation and company requirements.
1. Create companywide HSE promotional materials such as monthly newsletters, HSE alerts, awareness campaigns, whilst working with the LEUK HSE team.
2. Act as a point of contact with regard to training enquiries taking appropriate actions to ensure the system is used and maintained correctly, and additional modules are deployed as necessary.
3. Act as a point of contact for the HSE Intranet pages and HSE team LEUK promotions ensuring appropriate actions to ensure the system is used and maintained correctly.
4. Work closely with the HSE Systems Manager to ensure that communications are in line with company systems and processes.
5. Support the wider LEUK HSE team with various projects.
6. Liaising and coordinating with central and divisional functions, e.g. Learning and Development, IT, Communications, HR, Operations, Occupational Health, Procurement and Engineering to ensure that any new HSE training packages introduced meet and align with stakeholder requirements.
This is a hybrid role that can be be based from either of our main sites.
What you’ll bring
7. Relevant experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment
8. Appropriate professional qualifications (minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or training qualifications)
9. Educated to degree level
10. Relevant experience in training delivery and creation of training content using Articulate
11. Relevant experience in HSE promotional activity
This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above. The most important skill is a good attitude and willingness to learn.
Security Clearance
This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
