Job Purpose:
The PM Shift Warehouse Supervisor plays a key role working with the Day Shift Manager to ensure smooth operations at our Depot, leading teams of Day Loaders, Sorters, and Drivers in processing parcels delivered from client sites for final delivery.
About the Role:
You will be part of the Depot Management team, supporting your Depot by providing strong management to all front-line staff on your shift.
You will supervise a mix of contracted and agency staff across day shifts, crucial for processing returns and parcels collected from our Parcel Shops.
We need professionals who can motivate, manage, and discipline a diverse workforce, as well as develop talent for future promotion.
You will be responsible for motivating staff, solving problems daily, and managing operations.
The PM Shift Supervisor should understand how to motivate staff, prioritize needs efficiently, and think laterally. Logistics experience is beneficial but not essential; experience in related fields is also considered. Collaboration and leadership on projects are important.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of up to 30 direct reports, providing leadership and direction
* Develop and train staff, ensuring SLA’s are met
* Ensure compliance with all site HSES rules and regulations
* Process BI and MI reports based on work output
* Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Management experience leading and managing teams
* Ability to work independently in a pressurized environment with tight deadlines
* Experience in a fast-paced logistics environment is advantageous
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Understanding of Transport regulations
* Good communication skills and ability to liaise at all levels
* Flexible approach to meet business needs
