About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with students with PMLD, supporting their learning, communication, and personal development. You’ll be part of a nurturing team that values patience, creativity, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs
2. Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
3. Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
4. Use specialist equipment and communication tools (, PECS, Makaton)
Ideal Candidate:
5. Experience working with children or young people with PMLD or complex needs
6. A caring and empathetic nature
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills
8. Willingness to learn and adapt
9. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
