An exciting new vacancy has arisen aligned to the continued growth of our Company for the role of: GRADUATE OPERATIONS SUPPORT ENGINEER - TEMPORARY MATERNITY COVER ENGINEERING INDUSTRY Workshop - ALLOA Requirements: Overall responsibility of supporting the Works Manager on all activities with specific focus on rotating equipment such as submersible motors and centrifugal pumps. Provides an essential link between Works Manager and the Workshop, working closely with Workshop Supervision, Quality and Health & Safety Departments to ensure the integrity of overhauls and the daily workplace which are required to comply with production standards and relevant customer specifications within the quoted lead-time. Will touch on implementing lean principles for the processes & products. Liaise with Works Manager daily with a view to improve customer satisfaction, profitable growth and expansion of submersible motor and pump customer base. Electrical knowledge is advantageous. Degree qualified in associated Engineering discipline Understanding of the repair methods and operations of engineering equipment Knowledge of quality systems and standards Knowledge of engineering and technology principles and practice Fluent in MS packages such as Excel, Word and Project Objectives of the role: Provide a best-in-class, customer-focused service in timely and efficient manner Manage and update workshop documentation, considering lessons learnt in the spirit of continual improvement Assist in managing and co-ordinating workload in order to meet business/client requirements Establish, develop and maintain strong working relationships by regular communication with internal peers and support functions Focus on customer satisfaction within service industry workshop achieving on time delivery targets met, work completed within budgeted allowable hours (cost), and to required quality. Assist Project Engineers to implement feedback from workshop, driving continual improvement Work with Works Manager and Technical Support to analyse equipment failures using recognized techniques (e.g. Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis etc.) Develop operating practices and procedures supporting overhaul processes and future further developments. Active participation and support of business continuous improvements projects.
