Support Worker for our Supported Living services at Hertfordshire, you’ll be supporting adults with learning disabilities to live the best life possible. Supporting the Service Manager and/or Deputy Service Manager, you will be responsible for nurturing and inspiring those coming to work for My Homecare to help ensure we have the best staff teams offering excellent support services. What you will be doing:
Some of our residents have complex needs and can display challenging behaviour at times. Experience is preferred but not essential as specialist training is provided before you start. Our clients require your support to maintain their safety and well-being in their home. You will always be working with one or more of your colleagues and will receive full support and supervision from our experienced management team.
Working in a care environment can be challenging at times, though it is always rewarding. We will need you to have experience working with people with autism. You should be able to work full or part-time days to suit the needs of the business, but with flexibility that also supports a work-life balance.
Your Role:
* Supporting people to live the life they want to lead
* Maintaining existing skills and helping develop new ones
* Looking after their home, cooking, shopping, and keeping their home tidy and safe
* Managing medications and health needs
* Providing personal care
* Assisting with managing finances
* Helping set goals as outlined in support plans

Shifts:
* Days and Sleep Ins OR Nights
* Flexible shift patterns based on client needs
Pay:
* £12.45 - £14 per hour based on experience and qualifications
* Permanent contracts
Requirements:
* Alternate weekends required
* Minimum 1 year experience working with Learning Disabilities/Autism
* Driving licence preferred
* Male or female positions available
