Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst – 12 month FTC

Join Allianz UK as a Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst in a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will be integral to the evolution of Allianz Personal, keeping our customer‑centric approach and putting heart back into insurance as we develop new propositions from idea to customer launch.


Salary Information

Business Analyst: Circa £46,000
Senior Business Analyst: Circa £60,000


About You

You’re a Business Analyst who is looking to make a difference and achieve real change, used to taking a loose brief and shaping it into what’s required for the business. You’ll want a role where you can work collaboratively, but with a lot of autonomy and flexibility.

As an analyst with industry experience, you will build a track record of taking strategic vision through to realisation. You’re naturally curious, insightful, and get to the bottom of problems stakeholders haven’t even thought of yet. Communication and collaboration skills are essential for translating requirements across operational, strategic, IT, and development teams.

Experience in the general insurance sector and an ability to work at a strategic level to shape new ideas is beneficial. Prior agile experience is a benefit but not essential.

You’ll be attached to either Croydon or Bournemouth office; sometimes working remotely but regularly collaborating in the office.


Key Accountabilities

* Support the scoping of change initiatives for the Transformation Programme within the Business Analysis Framework.
* Assist other Programme Business Analysts in assuring quality and delivery excellence.
* Elicit, define and manage business requirements, ensuring clear end‑to‑end traceability.
* Ensure requirements are fully understood and approved, supporting Change Control and prioritisation.
* Support development, systems testing, user acceptance testing and implementation of solutions with solution partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.
* Participate in retrospectives, lessons learned and knowledge sharing to improve benefit delivery.


Essential Skills

* Business Intelligence background within a general insurance environment.
* Substantial experience of BI requirement specifications for back‑end extracts and front‑end dashboards, queries and analysis tools.
* Appreciation of Data Management disciplines.
* Ability to support and validate deliverables from testing and architecture teams.
* Ability to work with users at all levels up to and including board level.
* Modulate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
* Act as a business advocate with effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Question status quo and resolve disagreements.


Desirable Skills

* Experience of Azure (preferred) or other cloud infrastructures.
* Familiarity with SQL scripting.
* Understanding of dimensional data modelling.
* Awareness of Microsoft BI tools.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Experience of Agile or Scaled Agile frameworks.
* Appreciation of GDPR principles (process setup valuable).
* Experience of policy administration & billing systems (e.g., Guidewire).
