We are looking for a passionate and experienced DevOps Engineer with at least 2 years experience. This is a full-time hybrid position based in Hull, UK. The applicant will be joining our small but growing DevOps team and contribute to the success of our cutting-edge projects. To meet national security vetting requirements, you will need to have been resident in the UK for at least 5 years, prior to application. Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions. Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes to ensure efficient and reliable systems operation. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for software delivery. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and pipeline issues, ensuring high availability and performance. Collaborate with developers to optimize applications for performance and scalability. Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies. Essential Skills: Strong knowledge of VM platforms (such as Hyper-V, ESXI, etc.). Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices (SecOps). Proven expertise in CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps (ADO)). Hands-on experience with configuration management tools. Experience with monitoring and logging tools (such as SonarCloud, Prometheus, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.). Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (such as Azure, AWS, GCP, private cloud). Familiarity with version control systems (such as ADO, Git). Willingness to learn and share knowledge to simplify the DevOps process. Beneficial Skills: Proficient in scripting languages (such as PowerShell, Python, Bash). Knowledge of infrastructure as code (such as Terraform, ARM Templates). Hands-on experience with Nutanix. Proficiency in managing databases (such as MSSQL, MongoDB databases). Certification in relevant technologies (such as Azure DevOps, Azure, etc.). Qualifications and Experience: Qualifications in one or more of the following: Computer Science, Information Technology, DevOps or related field. 2 years experience in a DevOps or similar role.
